Team Confirms Passing of Junior Pope, Cites Inadequate Medical Facilities

A team associate disclosed the unfortunate passing of the beloved Nollywood star, Junior Pope, who was hurried to a hospital due to a boat incident in Asaba.

The news of the actor's passing created waves on social media when it was learned that he succumbed to drowning in a boat mishap with three others.


Despite this, upon being taken to the medical facility swiftly after the accident, the AGN President, Emeka Rollas, asserted that Junior Pope was still alive in an Instagram post, which has since been removed.

In a live session on IG, Stanley Ontop, a member of the late actor's team, revealed that Junior Pope was temporarily removed from the mortuary after being resuscitated and then taken to the riverside to undergo a ritual purification.

He pointed out the medical center's lack of oxygen as a significant failure in treating Junior Pope promptly, leading to his unfortunate declaration of death by the attending physician.

Confirming Pope’s death, he wrote in an Instagram post, “JNR Pope is finally gone.”
