It was, Florian Wirtz’s penalty that secured a victory, pretty important one, for Bayer Leverkusen against Union Berlin. The win moved them closer, within reach for a first-ever Bundesliga title, ever.

In the second half, Leverkusen continued their dominance as they continued their aggressive attacking play, with Amine Adli a substitute, missing nearly a chance to extend their lead.

Pair of results fell in leverkusen favor, as they in fact were only one match away from lifting the trophy as the news came in of Heidenheim, making a stunning comeback against Bayern Munich.
Leverkusen are up against Werder Bremen this coming Sunday. If they win, history awaits them as they would seal their place as the Bundesliga champions for the first time.
