Native Healers in Anambra Link Junior Pope’s Tragic End to a Decades-Old Film

A recent Facebook post made by a user discloses that local diviners in Anambra have traced the wrath of a river back to a film Junior Pope participated in 20 years ago, which has led to his untimely demise in the waters.

This revelation came to light mere hours following reports of the tragic drowning of Junior Pope, a well-known Nollywood figure.

The user elaborated in the post that the actor’s fatal encounter might have been provoked by their disregard toward pacifying the river deity, thereby infuriating the river spirit.

The divulgence highlighted: “The spiritual practitioners of Anambra express that the river harbors resentment toward Junior Pope on account of a twenty-year-old film he was involved in, named ‘ARA NWANYI ASABA.’”

“It was articulated that the river itself is the ‘ARA NWANYI ASABA,’ and the filming of this story has since unveiled the river’s wrath for having been offenced by the creators.”
