Cross Dresser Bobrisky Receives a Six-Month Prison Sentence without the Possibility of a Fine
This verdict was given by Justice Abimbola Awogboro at the Federal High Court in Lagos on the morning of April 12th.
It should be remembered that Bobrisky was brought before the court by the EFCC on April 5th, facing six allegations that include Misuse of the Naira and Allegations of Money Laundering.
The court decided to drop the charges related to money laundering but found him guilty of Misusing the Naira following his admission to the offense. He was then ordered to be detained in the EFCC's custody in Lagos at that time.
Additionally, the judge postponed the case to April 9th, however, the court was unable to sit due to the Eid-Fitri holiday, which lasted from April 9th to April 11th. Regrettably, the contentious figure is now serving a six-month jail term.
"The decision has, as anticipated, sparked significant debate on social platforms, with a split between those criticising the sentence and those expressing sympathy for Bobrisky.
